Allison Iraheta sings “Cry Baby”

Allison for Rock Week on American idol sang, “Cry Baby” by Janis Joplin. The song was a perfect choice for her. Allison gave an awesome performance. Randy says, “You can sing your face off…I did not love the choice for you…needed more melody…I didn’t love this.” Kara says, “Janice is the right choice for you…Are you nervous? I think you transform when you go on stage…” Paula says, “You’re downright peerless…if they do a pic on Janis you got the role.” Simon says she’s grown a lot through the competition, singing with complete confidence.

A funny exchanged accurred when Simon said, “I didn’t see much originality…you should have done the Queen song.” Allison explains the other song was a Jefferson Airplane song…Simon says she still should have done it.

Allison Iraheta sings 'Someone To Watch Over Me'

Allison Iraheta sang "Someone To Watch Over Me" for brat pack week on American Idol. She is really amazing and vocally had a tenderness well beyond her years. Randy said he was worried but after wards thought she was the bomb. Kara said if that performance does not land her in the finals she does know what will.

Allison Iraheta is the last female in the competition but as Simon said she may be in trouble tonight unless people vote for her. I hope she lasts one more week as she is way better than Mat Giraud. So tomorrow we will see.

Allison Iraheta Sings 'Hot Stuff'

For disco week Allison Iraheta sang the Donna Summer classic "Hot Stuff". She gave a near perfect vocal performance. I have to agree with Randy and Kara as the arrangement of the song was self indulgent. But I also agree with Simon as she was brilliant!

Allison is still the ladies last hope and I think she is proving every week she diserves a record deal even if she does not win American Idol.

Allison Iraheta Sings 'I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing'

Tonight, Allison sang a rendition of Aerosmith's 'I don't wanna miss a thing'. Paula said she is a good as Adam. Simon said she is the ladies only hope left. She did a great job as always showing she is years older than she really is. Allison is already a seasoned professional despite her youth. I do agree with Simon and she is the womens only hope and I feel she might just make it to the top three after tonight's strong showing.

Allison Iraheta sings I Can't Make You Love Me

This week Allison Iraheta sang 'I Can't Make You Love Me', a Bonnie Ratt song from the year she was born in 1992. Yet once again she delivered a very powerful strong and emotional vocal performance. At least Allison gave up the clown looking outfit. Paula told her that all you need to do is hear one note to know it's Allison.

Randy Jackson compared Allison to first season's winner Kelly Clarkson. Both Simon and Kara gave her praise with Kara telling her 'let's go make a record'. If she keeps it up she just might make it to the final 3. Yes I predict she will make it at least that far!

Allison Iraheta Sings Don't Speak

This week Allison Iraheta sang 'Don't Speak' from the group No Doubt. Her performance was solid in the usual Allison style. But what I cannot get over was what she was wearing and did to her hair. Randy Jackson even said 'What is with this outfit?' It certainly was a bad choice and did take away from her strong vocals. Let's hope she puts the outfit away next week or she may not last much longer on American Idol.

Allison Iraheta Sings Papa Was a Rolling Stone

During Motown week, Allison Iraheta sings 'Papa Was A Rolling Stone'. Her rendition brought the house down and Smokey Robinson and Barry Gordy to their feet. Allison is truly a head of her time and her voice seems to be getting better each week. Randy says 'that was blazing hot'. Kara told her she sings like she has been doing it for 400 years. Simon acts like a child and draws a mustache on Paula's face.
